What Does Morning Star Mean In The Bible

In the Bible, Lucifer was identified as the morning star. The morning star is a sign that the morning is approaching. That darkness will vanish because of the light of the morning.

"How you have fallen from heaven, Lucifer, son of the dawn. You have been cast down to the earth, who once laid the nations low! You said in your heart, "I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Highest." But you are brought down to the realm of the dead, to the depths of the pit." - Isaiah 14:12-15

Lucifer was given this title because he was once the favorite angel of God. But, he chose to stray from the will of God. The Bible mentions that iniquity was found in him. It can be assumed that the title of morning star has been taken away from Lucifer, as in the Book of Revelations, Jesus is identified as the morning star.

"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star." - Revelation 22:16

According to Judaism, the Messiah has to belong to the line of David. So it can be concluded that Jesus is the Messiah and the bright morning star.

I believe Jesus is the real morning star as his deeds during his first coming signify that he spread knowledge of God, did his will, and was extremely selfless.
