What Did God Promise Noah

According to the biblical account, in the time of Noah, the earth was wicked and corrupt, and God decided to send a great flood to wash away all evil and start a new creation. However, God saw that Noah, a righteous man, and his family, along with many animals, were worth saving. So, God instructed Noah to build an ark, a large boat, and to take his family and pairs of every kind of animal with him into it to save them from the coming flood.

After the floodwaters receded, and the ark came to rest on a mountaintop, Noah and his family emerged into a new world. Then God made a covenant with Noah, promising never to destroy all life on earth with a flood again. As a sign of this covenant, God placed a rainbow in the sky as a symbol of his mercy and faithfulness.

This account is significant because it shows the importance of obedience to God's commands and trust in his promises. It also teaches us about God's character - he is a God of love, mercy, and faithfulness, who honors his promises and desires to save his people.
