What Did Jesus Do On The Mount Of Olives

The Mount of Olives is a significant location in the life and ministry of Jesus. According to the Bible, Jesus often visited the Mount of Olives during his ministry and performed several actions there:

  1. Prayer: Jesus spent a night in prayer there, shortly before his arrest and crucifixion. This event is known as the Agony in the Garden.
  2. Teaching: Jesus delivered the Olivet Discourse on the Mount of Olives, where he gave his disciples prophecies about the end times and the destruction of the temple.
  3. Ascension: After his resurrection, Jesus ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives in the presence of his disciples.

In addition to these events, the Mount of Olives served as a place of refuge for Jesus during his ministry. It was a quiet and secluded area where he could retreat from the crowds and spend time in prayer and reflection.
