What Was The Major Turning Point In Moses' Life

The major turning point in Moses' life occurred when he encountered God at the burning bush (Exodus 3:1-22). At the time, Moses was living in exile in the land of Midian, having fled Egypt after killing an Egyptian who had beaten a Hebrew slave.

While tending to sheep in the wilderness, Moses came upon a bush that was burning, but not consumed by the fire. God spoke to him from the bush and revealed Himself as the God of his ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God told Moses that He had chosen him to lead the Israelites out of slavery and into the Promised Land.

This encounter with God marked a significant turning point in Moses' life because it transformed him from a shepherd living in exile to a leader who would stand up to the most powerful ruler of the time, the Pharaoh of Egypt.
