What Was Jesus's First Miracle

The first recorded miracle of Jesus was turning water into wine at a wedding feast in Cana, a village in the Galilee region of Israel (John 2:1-11).

The story goes that while at the wedding feast, Mary, the mother of Jesus, realized that the host had run out of wine. She turned to Jesus for help, and though Jesus initially said his time had not yet come, Mary asked the servants to follow his instructions. Jesus then commanded the servants to fill six large stone jars with water, and when they drew the water and took it to the master of the banquet, it had been transformed into wine of excellent quality.

This miracle is significant because it demonstrated Jesus' divine power and authority to his disciples and others who witnessed it. It also symbolized the new relationship with God that he was offering through his teachings and laid the foundation for many more miraculous events that were yet to come.
