What Is Carnally Minded

The term "carnally minded" is a biblical phrase found in the New Testament in the book of Romans (Romans 8:6, 7). It refers to a mindset or way of thinking that is focused on the flesh or physical desires, rather than on spiritual matters.

In Christianity, carnal-mindedness is seen as a negative and sinful way of living, which focuses on worldly pleasures and desires, rather than on serving and pleasing God. It is often associated with behaviors such as selfishness, lust, envy, and pride, which are seen as detrimental to spiritual growth and well-being.

In contrast, spiritual-mindedness is seen as a positive and virtuous way of living, which focuses on pleasing God and serving others out of love and compassion. It is often associated with behaviors such as humility, patience, kindness, and self-control, which are seen as essential for spiritual development and maturity.
