What Does The Bible Say About Vengeance

The Bible asks Believers to love their neighbors and not to seek revenge. It states that one should leave vengeance to God. Deuteronomy 32:35 states, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord.”

However, the Old Testament contradicts this teaching by emphasizing the principle of an eye for an eye. The New Testament's theme is about forgiving the transgressions of others and trusting God’s justice.
