What does the Bible say about astrology?

Astrology has been a popular topic for centuries, and many people turn to the stars for guidance and insight into their lives. However, as Christians, it is important to understand what the Bible says about astrology and whether it is compatible with our faith.

In the Bible, astrology is not explicitly mentioned, but there are several passages that address the practice of divination and seeking guidance from sources other than God. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns against the practice of divination, which includes astrology, saying, "There shall not be found among you anyone who... uses divination, or is a soothsayer, or an augur, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a medium, or a wizard, or a necromancer."

This passage makes it clear that seeking guidance from sources other than God is not in alignment with our faith. As Christians, we are called to trust in God's plan for our lives and seek guidance through prayer and faith, rather than through the stars.

Furthermore, astrology can also lead to a belief in fate and destiny, which goes against the Christian belief in free will. The Bible teaches that we have the power to make choices and shape our lives, rather than being subject to the whims of the stars.
