What Does The Bible Say About Rain

There are several passages that refer to rain metaphorically as a symbol of mourning or as a sign of blessings or judgement.

In the Old Testament, rain is often used as a symbol of God's blessings, like in Deuteronomy 11:14: "I will send rain on your land at the right time, both in the fall and in the spring, so you can gather your crops, take your grapes to make wine, and collect your olives."

In the New Testament, Jesus mentions rain when speaking of God's impartiality in loving both good and evil people. In Matthew 5:45, Jesus says: "He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous."
