What does it mean that God will punish the descendants of Cain?

Despite God's mercy, Cain's sin was not overlooked by God, and he declared that he would punish all of Cain's descendants for his crime of murdering his half-brother, Abel. However, it's worth noting that the exact nature of this punishment is not specified in the Bible.

According to the Bible, Adam and Eve were the first human beings created by God, and they lived in paradise until they sinned and were expelled from the Garden of Eden. Eve gave birth to three sons: Cain, Abel, and Seth.

However, there is a controversial theory that Cain was not Adam's son but rather Satan's, and that Abel and Seth were the only true offspring of Adam and Eve.

The theory suggests that Satan seduced Eve, and Cain was the product of their union while Abel and Seth were born to Adam and Eve.

Out of jealousy, Cain killed his brother Abel after God favored Abel's offering over Cain's.

The two brothers were farmers, and Cain was angry that God had rejected his offering of produce while accepting Abel's sacrifice of a lamb. This led to a dispute between the two brothers, which ended in Cain murdering Abel.

When Cain realized the gravity of what he had done and that he would be punished, he begged God for mercy.

God then gave him a mark that would protect him from harm. The mark of Cain was a sign that anyone who harmed him would be punished seven times over.
