What Does Blaspheme Mean In The Bible

Blasphemy means showing disrespect and contempt towards God.

Blasphemy can occur through speech or writing or even through one’s actions. It is a grave sin in the Bible.

Jesus mentions in the Bible that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is also an unforgivable sin.

In the Book of Revelation, the beast commits the abomination of desolation by putting his statue in place of God in his holy temple. This act can be conjectured as the supreme act of blasphemy.

Another example of blasphemy would be drawing pictures mocking Christ or mocking any object held sacred by religions worldwide.
