Why does Genesis explicitly mention only Adam being expelled of the Garden of Eden?

In the book of Genesis, we read about the story of Adam and Eve and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden after eating from the tree of knowledge. Interestingly, the Bible only explicitly mentions Adam being expelled from the Garden, while Eve's expulsion is not explicitly stated.
