Who built the Sphinx?

Most Egyptologists believe that the Great Sphinx was built during the reign of Pharaoh Khafre, around 2500 BC, during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom. This period is marked by the construction of the grandest pyramids and monumental architecture in ancient Egypt.
