Do you agree that the Bible, Quran, and Gita are great teachers but many of their followers are unworthy and bad name their faith?

In Christianity, for example, the Bible teaches love for one's neighbor, forgiveness of enemies, and care for the poor and marginalized. Yet, there have been periods in history where Christians have been responsible for acts of violence, discrimination, and oppression in the name of religion.
