Did the Knights Templar really know where the Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail were located?

Archaeological investigations at the Temple Mount have not uncovered any trace of the Ark or the Grail, and the idea that the Templars—or anyone else—could have found and removed these treasures without leaving any record is considered highly unlikely.
