Did Jesus ever marry?

In addition to the canonical gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—there are apocryphal texts that present alternative views of Jesus' life. Some of these ancient writings, such as the Gospel of Philip, suggest a close relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
