Is Kamala Harris prepared to take on an expanded role?

After Joe Biden's poor performance in the recent Presidential debate, many wonder if Kamala Harris would be the right choice for Presidential nominee instead of Biden.
The spotlight is on Harris. However, Ms. Harris has kept her intentions discreet.
Many have stated that Ms. Harris is a good diplomat.
On the one hand, she has refused to criticize Biden for his poor performance, and on the other hand, she has stated that he can improve.

The Vice-President usually has to play second fiddle to the President.
Ms. Harris also had a failed Presidential campaign in 2020 so it's clear that she once had an aspiration to become the commander-in-chief of the USA and may very well still have.
However, she has been mired by a lack of support from the majority of voters as well.
Her awkward laugh and verbal blunders have been a part of the meme fest on the internet.
It has to be seen how she steps up her role and if she can take on the most responsible job of being a contender for the President of the United States.
