How To Be A Hero

To be a hero, one needs to cultivate heroic qualities. What are these qualities? They are selflessness, bravery, a charitable attitude and fighting for a cause greater than oneself. It is the last quality that is especially heroic. Leaders who fought for a cause greater than themselves would be Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln and many more.

Another quality that separates the hero from others is that heroes overcome huge hurdles. The greater the difficulty which is overcome, the greater the glory. A hero is also not deterred by failures.

"Ever tried, ever failed? No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better." - Samuel Beckett

Finally, a hero shows others the way. He helps others overcome their own difficulties.
