How many children did Lea have from Jacob in the Bible? What were their names?

In the Bible, Lea was the first wife of Jacob and the mother of six of his sons. These sons were Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun. Each of these sons would go on to father their own children and become the patriarchs of their own tribes in Israel.

Lea's first son, Reuben, was born to her as a result of Jacob's disappointment in finding out that he had married her instead of her younger sister, Rachel. Reuben would later lose his birthright as the firstborn son after committing a grave sin against his father.

Lea's second son, Simeon, was born to her after Jacob had spent time living with her father, Laban. Simeon would go on to become known for his fierce temper and violence.

Levi, Lea's third son, was born to her soon after Simeon. Levi would later become known for being the ancestor of the Levites, the priestly tribe in Israel.

Judah, Lea's fourth son, was born to her after she had prayed to God for another son. Judah would go on to become one of the most prominent figures in the Bible, as he was the ancestor of King David and ultimately, Jesus Christ.

Issachar and Zebulun, Lea's fifth and sixth sons, were born to her later in life. Issachar would become known for his wisdom, while Zebulun would become known for his seafaring abilities.
