Does the Bible teach that there are 7 billion consciousnesses or just 1 consciousness in 7 billion bodies?

The question of whether the Bible teaches that there are 7 billion individual consciousnesses or just one consciousness in 7 billion bodies is a complex one. While the Bible doesn't explicitly address this question, it does offer insights into the nature of consciousness and the relationship between individuals and God.

On one hand, the Bible teaches that each individual is unique and valuable in God's eyes. Psalm 139:13-14 states, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." This passage suggests that each individual is created by God and has inherent worth and value.

However, the Bible also teaches that individuals are connected to one another and to God in a larger, spiritual sense. 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 describes the church as a body made up of many parts, with each part having a unique function but working together for the greater good. In this sense, individuals are seen as interconnected and working towards a common purpose.

Additionally, the Bible teaches that individuals are created in the image of God, which suggests a shared consciousness or divine spark within each person. Genesis 1:27 states, "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." This passage implies that there is a shared aspect to human consciousness, as each person is created in the image of God.
