What Is The Ninth Hour In The Bible

In the Bible, the ninth hour refers to a specific time of day, which is around 3:00 pm in modern times.

The ninth hour is mentioned several times in the New Testament, specifically in the Gospels. For example, in the Gospel of Matthew, it is stated that darkness fell across the land during the ninth hour while Jesus was on the cross. In the Gospel of Mark, it is mentioned that Jesus died at the ninth hour.

The ninth hour is also significant in the Acts of the Apostles, where it mentions that Peter and John went to the temple at the ninth hour for prayer and healing. Additionally, it records an incident in which Cornelius, a Roman centurion, received a vision from God during the ninth hour, leading him to become a Christian.
